I will keep you all updated on my future fundraising goals, but as for now I am putting Wrapped In Peace on hold in order to spend more time focusing on our adoption. For more information on our adoption journey please visit http://liftedoutofthewater.blogspot.com

Hats!

My wonderful and talented friend Ashley has decided to donate her BEAUTIFUL knitted hats to be sold through Wrapped in Peace. Her heart is also burdened by human trafficking and she is hoping to use her talents to raise money and awareness. Each hat is $20 (plus shipping) and all profits from current sales will be going to the Not For Sale Campaign. Please email me if you would like to purchase a hat for fall time. Make sure to specify style (ribbon or plain) and color. Ashley can also do special orders if you have a specific color in mind.

See previous post for my current scarf fabrics! $20 each plus shipping....all profits go to Not For Sale Campaign!

Spring/Summer/Fall Goal (oh my how time flies!)

So obviously this summer FLEW by and I did absolutely NO sewing! Yikes! I am back at it though and even have fabric ready to go! Below are pictures of my current prints, but I can also do pretty much any solid color as well. All scarves are $20 and all profit goes to the NOT FOR SALE Campaign (Check out the links in my previous post for more info). Now let's raise $300! Ready, set GO!

I only have enough fabric for one more scarf in each of these two prints...so first come first served!

Above is my newest fabric! The far left pink is reversible, so I can make the scarf dots or stripes.

Spring/Summer 2013 Goal

As Kindergarten graduation draws near and a summer full of free time is just around the corner, I am dusting off my sewing machine and getting back to work! My new goal is to raise $300 for an organization called NOT FOR SALE. I first heard about this Not For Sale campaign when I read David Batstone's book Not For Sale (AMAZING book). I am including their website and a youtube video displaying some of their work.

Click on the "order" tab to get my contact information and prices.

I will be posting pictures of fabric soon....

International Justice Mission Donation

God is so amazing. Once again, I have received so much support and raised OVER the $300 goal I set for fall and winter sales. I just made a donation of $429.55 to International Justice Mission. Thank you to all those who purchased a scarf and helped take a stand against human trafficking. God Bless!

Total donated to organizations working toward eradicating the oppression of women: $1,298.42

Here is a picture of my current fabric. I try to buy discounted fabric so that the maximum amount of money can be donated. This also means that sometimes I am unable to find the same exact prints due to it being a clearance fabric. So be quick, or I might run out! :)

All infinity scarves are $15 plus shipping. Thank you all for your support in fundraising for International Justice Mission. God bless!

Winter 2012 Goal

"After drug dealing, human trafficking (both sex trafficking and
trafficking for forced labor) is tied with the illegal arms industry as the
second largest criminal industry in the world today, and it is the fastest
growing. (U.S. Department of Heath and Human Services" (IJM.org).

I am excited to announce my new goal of raising $300 for International Justice Mission. It is crucial that laws are being enforced worldwide to stop human trafficking. "International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to ensure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to promote functioning public justice systems" (IJM.org).

Please join me in taking a stand against human trafficking. All profits from my winter sales will go to this wonderful organization. For more information about IJM please visit http://www.ijm.org/.

"But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." -1 John 3:17

"Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause." - Isaiah 1:17
